Equipment Rental
Know how to surf/stand-up paddle? If you’re coming to Waikiki — and you want to go surfing — come rent a board with at Ty Gurney Surf School. We’ve got many boards, in many sizes, ready for you to rent — by the hour, day or week. All boards come with a rash guard rental, too!

Beginner Lessons
Beginner Lessons are booked in one or two hour time slots and include a 10-minute land lesson to learn surfing/stand-up paddle basics and water safety, a surf board, rash guard and individualized instruction with the guarantee to surf/stand-up paddle.
Advanced Lessons
For those who are comfortable in the water and have surfed before — our surf pros will work with you to improve your surf skills giving you the best possible Hawaiian surf experience.
Romantic Sunset Surf Package
If you are visiting Oahu for a romantic occasion, whether it's a wedding, honeymoon or anniversary, we can arrange a private, exciting, and romantic surf experience for you and your partner. Celebrate your special occasion as the sun sets, painting the sky reds and purples as it drops into the ocean. Suitable for first time students and advanced surfers, you'll have your own instructor who will make sure you're at the best break with the best waves as the sun drops. With the iconic Diamond Head view in the background we will teach you to surf and capture this special moment with video and photography. This package includes a full HD movie and photographs for your keepsake. It doesn't get more romantic or starry-eyed than this!
Surf Safari’s
For the ultimate in adventure! Join Ty Gurney Surf School on a full or half day surf safari. We’ll strap some boards to the top of our jeep and drive to another side of the island for some great surfing, hiking and exploring. Surf Fitness Camp
Ty Gurney Surf School is excited to offer a four or seven-day Surf Fitness Camp to men and women looking to explore Hawaii while getting fit and healthy at the same time. Camp will offer a combination of surf, stand-up paddle, hiking and yoga/fitness classes guaranteed to get you on the way to a fit and healthy lifestyle. In addition, a full-body fitness assessment and nutrition plan will be outlined for you at the beginning and end of camp. For more information about this great program, click here.
